Lawrence Ogbo Ugwuanyi, Ph.D is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Abuja, Nigeria. And founder Centre for Critical Thinking and Resourceful Research in Africa (www.cectrraafrica.org).His field of specialization/research interest is African Philosophy and Thought and his researches aim at uncovering, discovering and recovering African views, values and principles; and advancing theories that illustrate the autonomy and relevance of African thought scheme. He bring this to bear on environmental issues. He has 53 academic publications and is published in West African Review, South African Journal of Philosophy, Religions, Theoria, Southern Journal of Philosophy, African and Asian Studies and Revista de Estudios Africanos. Ugwuanyi has served as Visiting Scholar, University of South Africa (2005); is an Environmental Humanities Research Fellow of the Institute for advanced Studies in the Humanities, University of Edinburgh(2021); a fellow of the International Seminar of Council for Research in Values and Philosophy (RVP) and the CUA McLean Center for the Study of Culture and Values (MCSCV),USA (2021); a fellow of the PENN Program in Environmental Humanities on Intersecting Energy Cultures of the University of Pennsylvania, USA and University Edinburgh, Scotland (2022).
